The multidisciplinary reflection will be organized around 3 components:
1. Local forms and standards of heritage production. The different works will provide information on the origin of heritage while conducting an analysis of the processes at work in heritage development: conditions and contexts for the emergence of heritage, strategies for positioning the diversity of actors, global or local, associated with heritage development, relationships between heritage and cultural identities, heritage and territories. Several actions are also part of an institutional promotion of heritage in their relations with local actors.
2. Forms of appropriation and enhancement of heritage. The appropriation of heritage proceeds from different modalities, cultural, economic, symbolic or legal, taken into account in the same way as heritage valuations, which constitute a form of affirmation of identities and rights. Particular attention will be paid to the appropriation regimes of these heritages, in particular around biodiversity, (diversity of communal regimes and articulation with other regimes) and also to changes in statutes and rights regimes resulting from patrimonialization. Axis 1 also pursues reflection on the role of the researcher as an observer but also as an actor in the processes of heritage development.
3. The integration of heritage into globalization: heritage as part of the ecological transition. This project under axis 1 aims to situate patrimonialization as one of the implementations of the ecological transition, and to appreciate the heuristic nature of this positioning in the field of critical heritage studies.
The main disciplines mobilized will be geography, archaeology, anthropology, historical sciences, ethnosciences, museology and geomatics.
